- I am a 45 year bivocational pastor serving exactly where God needs me right now. I am trying to discern God's plan for my life through seminary and service. Genesis 2:15 has taken a fierce hold on my heart. I have come to embrace a vision which calls for us to combat hunger and return to creation care. Where I once wanted to build big buildings, I now desire to see us feed the poor through the food we raise and the hands we extend out. I feel that the church has lost its understanding of its purpose, and that we need to remember that the church is not a place or a building, but a radical community of God willing to demonstrate with our lives the purpose of God on earth.
